GLOBAL INVESTMENT BANK – TELECOM INFRASTRUCTURE
Led a 5G wireless network services business plan, and market assessment for the telecom infrastructure investment arm of a multi-national investment bank. Performed due diligence on potential investments in 5G service providers focused on residential and commercial in-building wireless broadband services. Identified and evaluated 5G network technology and spectrum options for a rural fixed 5G broadband service offering that leveraged the investment bank’s existing multi-county fiber optic network.
MULTINATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CONGLOMERATE - VENTURE CAPITAL UNIT
Served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the New Business Creation division within the Venture Capital arm of a multinational industrial technology OEM and services corporation. Led the product and business strategy development for a 5G industrial IoT (IIoT) software as a service business. Developed the minimum viable product (MVP), financial business model and implementation plan. Presented MVP to a prospective U.S. Investor-owned Utility customer. Served as a strategic advisor to a consortium of industrial companies formed and led by the client to advocate for secure, cost-effective wireless broadband capable spectrum. Served as the consortium’s IIoT subject-matter expert for strategy and policy meetings with Senior White House Officials, FCC Chairman and Commissioners, the NTIA and Members of Congress.
TAIWANESE BROADBAND NETWORKING HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE MANUFACTURER
Conducted business and market development for the client’s new Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) network equipment and device product line with a focus on Cable MSOs, Tower and Network Infrastructure Operators, and Systems Integrators. Developed a five-year $100M+ go-to-market and sales plan for the client’s CBRS business targeting U.S. Cable MSOs, Wireless Internet Service Providers, and traditional telecom service providers. Served as the client’s subject matter expert on U.S. 5G and Wi-Fi 6e spectrum policy and strategy.
5G SERVICES PROVIDER
Developed business, product plan and technology ecosystem approach for a provider of in-building 5G infrastructure distribution, integration, and management services. Defined 5G network solution and features, pricing structures for segment-specific 5G solutions, and operational and IT capabilities. Planned and led client’s Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) private LTE commercial building trial to showcase IoT solutions for a high-profile real estate asset management firm and through collaboration with a global network technology firm.
